Descrizione
The Sanctuary is located just in the centre of Cesena, near Piazza del Popolo, and is known also as Chiesa dei Servi (Church of the Servants). It was erected in the mid-XVII century, on the remains of an ancient place of cult (of which only two frescoes of the XV and XVI century survive) ,the Sanctuary includes an important painting by Carlo Saraceni (beginning of the XVII century), depicting S. Carlo Borromeo taking the Holy Communion to a man infected with plague.
