Starts from Sarsina.

Description
The Route of San Vicinio was born to celebrate the one-thousandth anniversary of the Cathedral of Sarsina, dedicated to San Vicinio, bishop of Sarsina at the beginning of the 4th community of Sarsina wanted to dedicate the church for his virtues and extraordinary powers.
The Route offers whole days in direct contact with nature, where no signs or sounds remind of the (still close-by) town; the itineraries drawn by ancient history show that the people of the time could travel for tens of kilometres in very few days. Among plains, hills and mountains surrounded by majestic forests and erratic rocks, the call to spirituality is constant and leads travellers to meet the essence of their spirit through this journey.
To get some rest and refreshment, travellers will find ospitalerie and hotels of all kinds and categories along the way.

The Route of San Vicinio is a circular one and it covers more than 300 kilometres with 14 stop-overs, between Romagna and Tuscany, down to the plain of Cesena. The best starting point is Sarsina, the town of San Vicinio, the miracle-working saint whose miraculous collar is the symbol of the Route.
