Description
Directly in the centre of Quarto along the street XXI Marzo rises the Sanctuary of Madonna Pellegrina, built in the second half of the last century by the will of the bishop of Sarsina Emilio Bianchieri.
Inside of  the Sanctuary is kept the venerated Madonna Pellegrina's image, arrived in Quarto the 2 June 1950 after the famous and long "Peregrinatio Mariae" with the several parishes of high valley of Savio river.
Here many fiancées, from everywhere in the diocese, decide to marry in front of the Celestial Pilgrim Queen of the Family, to place one's trust in Her the maternal protection of their new union so that, wrapped by Her mantle, their children grow up safety far from the evil of the world.Who visits the Sanctuary can admire in the presbytery, beyond the statue of the Madonna, the ten historiated glass windows by the master Goffredo Gaeta representing Eucharistic themes, while in the main body of the church they represent the most important moments of the life of the Virgin Mary.  
With the several paintings of XVI century there is also the sole representation of Uguccione della Faggiola's castle, cited by Dante Alighieri in his Divine Comedy.
Recently, with episcopal decree, the parishes of  Massa (Saiacco and Valbiano) have been annexed to the parish of Quarto and now Don Gabriele Foschi is their administrator.
Between the parochial structures adjacent to the church, there is a wide hall with a box place of meetings, performances and summit conferences with very important personages, between which to remember is Ersilio Tonini.
Thanks to the available spaces and structures, as the 5on5 football field, the area for children, there is the big kitchen that can be used for lunches and dinners in occasion of many festivities and parties.
Quarto, thanks to its beautiful landscape and its position in the Appennino Tosco-Romagnolo, is a destination for Scout and Groups that here find a cheap hospitality, in a fabulous atmosphere.
The parish, far only 20 minutes from the top of the Mount Fumaiolo, easily visible also from the shores of the Lake it is deep in the green of a huge pine-forest and it is touched by a maybe hidden Lake , evocative and mysterious.
