Description
The Church of the Saints Anna and Gioacchino is located in the historical center of Cesena in Piazza del Popolo (People square). 
The structure dates at 1663 by the noblewoman Giacoma Sassi Fabbri. 
Inside there are two paintings of great format, among the most suggestive of the production of Cristoforo Serra (1600 -1689), the principal painter from Cesena of 1600s. 
It is awesome thinking that during the inauguration of 1664, were exposed even in that small building nine paintings of Cristoforo Serra, artist who, as the documents inform, combined the exercise of the painting to that of the weapons,in order  to carry out the profession of captain of the pontifical troops.
